Butter | 210gm |
Sugar | 300gm |
Honey | 90gm |
Heavy Cream | 90gm |
Sliced Almond | 360gm |
Ground Almond / Hazelnuts | 60gm |
Candied Orange peel, chopped | 120gm |
Bread Flour | 60gm |
Method:
1. Mix the butter, sugar, honey, and cream in a heavy saucepan.
2. Bring to strong boil, stirring constantly.
3. Mix together the remaining ingredients and add to the sugar mixture, mix it well.
4. By using dropped method, drop on a greased and floured mould while the mixture is hot; it will get very stiff when cool. Allow at least 5cm between cookies for spreading.
5. Flatten the cookies with a fork.
6. Bake 190°C until browned about 10 minutes.
7. As soon as the pans are removed from the oven, use a round cookie cutter to pull the cookies back together into a round shape. Let it cool.
