HOLLANDER TORTE


Recipe
Pastry

Butter / Margarine
100gm
Icing Sugar
60gm
Egg Yolk
1 nos
Flour
200gm
Filling

Butter / Margarine
120gm
Castor Sugar
80gm
Plain Flour, sifted
80gm
Ground Almond
100gm
Eggs
2 nos
Decoration

Flaked Almond
30gm
Strawberry Jam ( brush the base )
2 tbsp


Method:
1.    Pastry dough: cream the butter and icing sugar light, add egg yolk and cream until well combined. Add flour and mix into firm dough. Rest for 20 minutes.
2.    Roll pastry till 3-mm thick.
3.    Brush jam on the base.
4.    Filling: cream butter and castor sugar till light; add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
5.    Fold in sifted flour mix till well-combined. Finally, add the ground almond using spatula.
6.    Pour filling onto the pie dish and spread neatly.
7.    Sprinkle flaked almond on top as decoration.
8.    Bake at 180°C for 35-40 minutes till golden brown.
